      In cases where continuous insulation (CI) is not required, Dryvit offers direct applied systems that provide an option for a Dryvit exterior finish system to be applied over exterior cement board with a water-resistive barrier and moisture drainage. This affords the architect the option to choose from traditional or specialty Dryvit finishes like brick, lymestone, granite and even metal panels for the building exterior.

Genesis™ DMS

Sprayable, dry blend, polymer-modified, cement-based adhesive and base coat

Genesis DMS is a sprayable, dry blend, polymer-modified adhesive and base coat for use with Dryvit® systems. Genesis DMS is specifically formulated for spray applications where longer pot life, shorter false set time, extended open time and stronger wet grip are prerequisite. Genesis DMS is also recommended for non-spray applications (e.g. notch-troweling) when the features mentioned above are deemed important.

Genesis DMS is used to adhere expanded polystyrene insulation board to approved substrates. It is also used to embed Dryvit reinforcing mesh as part of the base coat. Coverage is approximately 5.0-5.4 m² (55-60 ft²) of surface area per bag, including adhesive and base coat layers. For adhesive only, coverage is approximately 9-9.9 m² (100-110 ft²) and for base coat only, approximately 10.8-11.7 m² (120-130 ft²).
