      In cases where continuous insulation (CI) is not required, Dryvit offers direct applied systems that provide an option for a Dryvit exterior finish system to be applied over exterior cement board with a water-resistive barrier and moisture drainage. This affords the architect the option to choose from traditional or specialty Dryvit finishes like brick, lymestone, granite and even metal panels for the building exterior.

AquaFlash® Flashing System

A liquid-applied, flashing material and mesh for sealing rough openings at windows, doors and other wall penetrations

AquaFlash Liquid is an extremely flexible, water-based polymer material used in conjunction with AquaFlash Mesh to seal substrates around windows, doors and other openings. The AquaFlash System provides an effective, water-resistant membrane designed for use with Dryvit® systems. It can also be used to bridge across floor lines and other construction joints. It is easy to apply and fully compatible with Dryvit's Backstop NT, Backstop NT-VB and all Dryvit adhesives.

AquaFlash Liquid is used directly from the pail and can be applied using a brush or roller over approved, clean, dry substrates.  When applied in accordance with Dryvit recommendations, AquaFlash System can be exposed to weather longer than conventional flashing tape prior to covering with a Dryvit system. Material is supplied in 3.6 kg (8 lb) or 18.2 kg (40 lb) containers. Coverage will vary depending upon substrate, details, individual application technique, and the corresponding AquaFlash Mesh that is used with the system. For 4" mesh, coverage with a 3.6 kg pail is 91 m (300 lf), and with a 18.2 kg pail is 457 m (1500 lf). For 6" mesh, coverage with a 3.6 kg pail is 61 m (200 lf), and with a 18.2 kg pail is 305 m (1000 lf). For 9" mesh, coverage with a 3.6 kg pail is 41 m (133 lf), and with a 18.2 kg pail is 203 m (667 lf).
